We are blessed to be a blessing (Genesis 12:2). Giving is a principle that is taught throughout the Bible. When we give through our tithes and offerings, we are worshiping God in a tangible way. We acknowledge God’s existence in this life as Creator (Genesis 1 and 2) and that everything is God’s (Haggai 2:8, Job 41:11). We are lining-up our financial lives with God’s direction for abundant life (Matthew 6:33). We are following the example established by our adopted father Abraham (Galatians 3:7) when he gave a tenth of everything he had to Melchizedek (Genesis 14:18-20). Tithing is an act of faith (Leviticus 27:30-33, Deuteronomy 14:22).
By putting God first in ones financial life you enable ministry and outreach to positively impact our community. We are called to live out the gospel by meeting community needs through; feeding, clothing, pre-school, Sunday school, youth and adult programming, and many others ways. Through your tithes and offerings we fulfill our mission as a faith community to “spread the love and message of Christ,” modeling our actions after the first churches (Acts). Lastly, I believe, we open the door of God’s blessings (Malachi 3:8-10, Proverbs 3:9-10). I and many others can testify to the blessings that come from tithing. Thank you for being a part of this ministry!
I have regularly heard people describe how they seemed to have more money after committing to tithing, than they had before their commitment. This is my experience, and the experience of others in our community. Please consider sending us a testimonial to share here on how God has changed your life through giving. God is a loving God, with only good plans for you. God is calling you into an abundant life through Jesus (John 10:10).
Thank you for joining in our ministry to this community and to God through your giving.
