We all have those boxes of leftovers from our night out, unless we forget the box!

We must be careful when eating those leftovers.  Here are some guidelines: Skip the leftovers if you plan to go out after the meal.

Perishable foods should be brought home directly and refrigerated, as less likelihood of bacteria growth. Meat and poultry leftovers are safely refrigerated at 40 degrees up to 4 days. Reheating in the slow cookers are not recommended as they sit too long in a lower temperature.  Reheating meat and poultry in the oven the temperature should be no lower than 325 degrees.

Enjoy those leftovers! To your health, K.C.
